After much anticipation, and after what seemed like forever, the beautiful Featherbed Nature reserve is now open again. Whilst a lot of the Fynbos was destroyed during the 2017 fires, it is now recovering beautifully and the owners have rebuilt a magnificent new restaurant
Options include a round trip ferry ride across the lagoon, and then you are transported up the mountain of the reserve to undertake a magnificent walk back down, with incredible cliff edge vistas of the lagoon and the ocean. Lunch is an optional extra, but fully worth the treat .
An extensive buffet is served with wonderful South African specialities, including a selection of home baked breads and relish spreads … like biltong pate, superb sirloin and excellent salads. Another wonderful surprise are the incredible timber table tops which are individual and so unique, made from a selection of beautiful tree trunks.
A leisurely afternoon is recommended thereafter… a relaxing in house massage at Headlands House with a light dinner thereafter.
Our professional staff will book a Featherbed excursion with pleasure.
