Brenton On Sea
To get to Brenton, it is a 30 minute drive around the lagoon, with beautiful views along the way. The beach is lovely and clean with interesting rock formations and rock pools. It is a great beach for walking and if one walks to Buffalo Bay and back, the distance is 7.5km.
Buffalo Bay
This is a 30 minute drive from Knysna and is perfect for swimming or walking along the beach. The rock pools provide entertainment for kids of all ages as the sea life is abundant. There are good facilities – ablutions, showers a shop and restaurant.
Plettenberg Bay
This legendary spot is situated right on Lookout Beach with great views of the beach and excellent surfing and swimming opportunities. Also great for whale watching in the winter months..
Knoetsie Beach
On the way to Plettenberg Bay, a 10 minutes drive from Knysna you will find Noetzie Beach. A wonderful secluded spot with over 100 steps down to the beach. Noetzie beach is famous for its “castles” which are holiday homes built from the natural rock found in the area. This pristine beach is a favourite with locals and is great for bird watching, canoeing and catching some sun or taking a dip in the ocean. This is part of the Noetzie conservancy.
