THE HEADS VIEW POINT
Just a 3 minute walk from Headlands House.
“The Heads viewpoint” refers to viewpoints, particularly on the Knysna Heads in South Africa’s Garden Route, offering panoramic views of the Knysna lagoon and the ocean, which are considered some of the best in the country. Visitors can experience these views from above at East Head Cafe, from the water via boat trips, or from different vantage points to appreciate the unique geological features where the Knysna River meets the ocean

A stroll down the road ..and you will find yourself at one of Knysna’s most dramatic beaches
— this beach is situated at the entrance to The Heads .. and is an incredible location ..
the waves crash against the rocks where the sea enters The Heads, amidst the backdrop of beautiful cliffs.
Guests are welcome to help themselves to beach towels and an umbrella to spend time on this beautiful beach.
Swimming should be limited to rock pools, due to the ferocious current.

Knysna Gin Distillery
The Knysna Distillery was launched on the 30th of November, 2018 by Rion, Kay & Bob Merryweather. A family-run partnership between a father and son & a husband and wife.
When buying a bottle of gin as a gift for his father, Rion noticed that there was quite a lot of South African Gin on the shelf but no Knysna Gin. After a long chat and a few gin and tonics, the family decided to make it happen.

is served between 8.00 am and 9.30am in our dining room with sweeping sea views. Please inform us of any special requests or dietary needs in advance. We aim to please.
Checking In and Checking Out
Our check in time is between 14h00 and 19h00. Please note that we require an approximate time of arrival so that we can make arrangements. Our Check out is between 7:30am and 11:00am, if an earlier or later check out is required please discuss this with us. You are also welcome to store your bags with us if you are leaving Knysna later in the day.
